DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns have issued a parting message to outbound midfielder George Maluleka.
Former South Africa international George Maluleka has officially parted ways with Mamelodi Sundowns after spending the last two seasons with the DStv Premiership champions.
As previously reported by Kickoff.com on Thursday, the 33-year-old midfielder has left Masandawana after an option for a year’s extension in his contract was not exercised.
The club has since issued a parting message to Mido, as he is affectionately known, after he brought his brief 19-game spell at Chloorkop came to an end
“Mamelodi Sundowns has parted ways with George ‘Mido’ Maluleka,” the club said in a statement. “George joined Mamelodi Sundowns in April 2020 and leaves the club with four titles including two Premiership medals.
“The Club thanks him for his dedication and professionalism on and off the field during his time at Chloorkop. We wish George the best of luck in his future endeavours. Thank you for your contribution to Mamelodi Sundowns, Mido.”
