POLICE are working with Albion and Leeds United after reports of homophobic incidents during yesterday’s Premier League match.

Twitter users also accused fans of Leeds United of spitting at people and urinating in public.

Leeds eventually lost the match 1-0, with Albion currently third in the Premier League table after four matches.

Liam, an Albion fan who did not give his last name, told The Argus that he saw one Leeds fan shout at a Brighton supporter, calling him a “f****t” and a “p**f”.

On social media, supporter Simon Fisher claimed that someone at the fixture “tried to pick a fight with my wife and 13-year-old son”.

Jason Martin, another Seagulls fan who went to the game said that the abuse was “overt” and “widespread”.
